about

Before becoming a solo/singer-songwriter artist, Graham was part of a band called 'The Leeches'. In 2013 The Leeches recorded a 4 song EP at the studio of Sean Corcoran at Bikini Island studios.

The songs from this EP were never released to the world and sat idly on a laptop in Graham Coe’s home. Graham found the tracks and after consulting with the rest of the lads in the band they agreed they needed to be released once and for all.

The Leeches were a band of friends that grew up and played music together from an early age in Blessington, Co.Wicklow. The line up consisted of Graham Coe (vocals, keys, guitar), Jesse Booth (vocals and bass), and Trevor Gyves (guitar) and on the recording they hired the wonderful Colin Downey (the son of Thin Lizzy legend Brian Downey) to play the drums.

The songs on this EP came to fruition very organically via numerous jam sessions at Graham’s parents house in Golden Hill, Co.Wicklow and at Trevor’s house in Rathmore, Co.Kildare. They immediately booked Bikini Island Studios run by Sean Corcoran to record the tracks for posterity and possible release.

Given the fact that it’s the 10 year anniversary since it’s recording we thought it the perfect time to release it. Although the band is no longer together all the members still keep in touch regularly to shoot the breeze and discuss all things music. To this day they all still  work in the music industry and continue to enjoy busy careers.

Many thanks to Sean Corcoran from bikini island Studios for recording, mixing and producing these songs. Thanks also to David DeeMoore for PR. I'd also like to thank the rest of the lads from the band (Jesse Booth and Trevor Gyves) for agreeing to release this. They are super excited to get it out there also!

Graham Coe is an Indie folk Singer/songwriter from Wicklow, Ireland.
Graham writes songs that have a deep sense of vulnerability and honesty blended with a passionate vocal delivery. Think Nick Cave meets John Martyn with some mellow Simon and Garfunkel thrown in for good measure. ... more
